MIRA

ABOUT

MIRA 10_Ikonen is inspired by the photographs of contemporary female artists between phantasms and reality, dystopia and utopia. Female characters that show the complexity of role models in their incompatibility. The performance of three very different women transforms the expressive imagery into icons of their own. The focus is on the tension between perfection and human obliquity, the imperfection of the stumbling body and the struggling spirit. A dance composition in search of the subject in objectification and not least a critical reflection of the striving for perfection in modern society.

MIRA

MIRA develops multi-layered productions of high sensitivity and intensive visual language. Inside and outside are brought into dialogue, what gets under the skin becomes visible and what cannot be grasped becomes tangible. Experimentally and sensitively, MIRA has been exploring boundaries since 2009 - whether imaginary or spatial, between genres, personal and interpersonal. MIRA leaves the usual stage experience and develops its own artistic, aesthetic spatial experience on the basis of the concept by selecting special spaces or specially developed spatial installations. In the content-related concept, all elements merge into a total work of art: choreographic performance and music as well as the visual idea in the form of the room installation are placed in a close artistic dialogue. In the project-related collaboration with artists of different genres and the performers, the choreographer creates an intensive dialogue that enables a deeper interdisciplinary and collaborative cooperation.
